Purchase your Joíre hair separately and book the “Joíre Client Exclusive” service to receive your 50% discount on wig construction and installation.
Please allow at least 2 weeks’ notice for all Joíre hair orders to allow sufficient time for sourcing and preparation.
Colouring Services
Professional colouring services are available exclusively for Joíre hair clients.
Select Jet Black during booking or contact us via email to discuss bespoke colouring before your appointment.
Every Joíre unit is professionally customised and sewn directly onto your head to create a bespoke, perfectly fitted wig.

As House of Joy is independently operated with no personal assistant, please allow 48–72 business hours (2–3 working days) for a response to emails. Emails are monitored Monday to Friday, and responses are sent as soon as possible in the order they are received.
To minimise delays, please read our Booking Policies before contacting us, as they answer many common questions regarding deposits, hair drop-offs, cancellations, late fees and appointments.

New Clients
Appointments are released on the 15th of each month at 8:00 PM.
Deposits start from £31 and vary depending on the service selected. The exact deposit amount will be displayed during the booking process after you have selected your appointment and accepted the Terms & Conditions. Most services require a £31 deposit.
All deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from your final balance.
The remaining balance is payable in cash only on the day of your appointment.
Please ensure you bring the correct form of payment. Delays caused by incorrect payment methods may result in a late fee.
If your preferred date is unavailable, please contact us via email.
Priority Booking
The following clients receive early access to appointments on the 10th of each month at 8:00 PM:
Loyal Clients
Available to clients who have completed 4 full-service appointments within the last 12 months. Please include “Loyal Client” in your booking notes.
Birthday Clients
Clients booking for their birthday may access early release. Valid photo ID is required at your appointment. Please include “Birthday Client” in your booking notes.
Long-Distance Clients
Clients travelling from outside Manchester may access early release. Valid proof of address is required at your appointment. Please include “Long Distance” in your booking notes.
Please note: If you book using a priority category without meeting the eligibility requirements, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited.

Hair Drop-Off Policy
Plus Ones
Plus ones are welcome to wait in reception but cannot accompany you during your appointment.
Hair Drop-Offs
Hair must be received at least 7 full working days before your appointment. The appointment day, weekends and bank holidays do not count.
Please do not ask your vendor to send hair directly to House of Joy. You must first receive your order yourself and then either post or drop it off. The only exception is Joíre UK hair purchased with an installation service.
Include a note with your name, phone number, email, Instagram handle, appointment date & time, and a brief description of the hair.
Late Hair Drop-Off Fees
5–6 days before: £15
4–5 days before: £20
2–3 days before: £25
1 day before: £30
Same day: £40
If your hair has not been received by your appointment date, your appointment may be cancelled. Where same-day preparation is possible, the same-day fee will apply. Otherwise, the applicable cancellation policy may be enforced, and failure to settle outstanding charges may result in future bookings being declined.
In-Person Drop-Offs
Drop-offs are accepted Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:30 PM. Please use the mailroom letterbox and do not leave parcels unattended. If the mailroom is locked, the building manager will happily unlock it for you. Any temporary extensions or changes to drop-off hours will be announced on our Instagram Story.
Postal Deliveries
Address parcels to House of Joy using the address in your confirmation email.
Please do not use any delivery service that requires a signature. House of Joy operates from a private studio within a shared office building and there is no reception or designated staff available to sign for parcels. Building staff cannot accept deliveries on our behalf.
We understand that wigs are valuable items, so you’re welcome to use tracked and compensated shipping—just ensure no signature is required. If a parcel is redirected because a signature was requested, we are unfortunately unable to collect it from a depot or post office.

Custom Wigs
To achieve the best fit, please provide accurate head measurements when ordering a custom wig. You will be asked to submit:
Circumference
Front to nape
Ear to ear (across forehead)
Ear to ear (over crown)
Temple to temple
Nape width
Dome caps are provided for a secure fit. House of Joy cannot be held responsible for wigs that do not fit correctly due to inaccurate measurements supplied by the client.
Colouring Services
To maintain our quality standards, House of Joy only offers colouring services for hair purchased from the Joíre Collection. We do not colour hair purchased from other vendors.
Colour consultations and bookings are handled via email only. To request a quote, please include:

Your desired completion date
Please allow a minimum of 7 working days for colouring. Express services may be available for an additional fee. All colouring invoices are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Parking
Parking is free for all clients, provided you park in an unreserved bay and register your vehicle. Reserved bays are clearly numbered and must not be used.
To avoid a fine, you must register your car using the iPad at reception. Failure to do so will result in a £100 penalty.

Please ensure you select the appropriate add-ons when making your booking. If a required add-on is not selected, House of Joy reserves the right to add it to your appointment and charge the applicable fee. Multiple add-ons may be required depending on your booking requirements.
Out-of-Hours Appointments
Appointments requested outside of our standard working hours are subject to an additional surcharge. The fee varies depending on the requested appointment time, with earlier appointments carrying a higher premium.
The applicable out-of-hours fees can be found in the Add-Ons section when booking.
Late Hair Drop-Off Fees
Hair must be received at least 7 days before your appointment. If your hair is received after this deadline, the following fees will apply:
5–6 days before your appointment: £15
3–4 days before your appointment: £20
2 days before your appointment: £25
1 day before your appointment: £30
On the day of your appointment: £40
These charges are listed in the Add-Ons section of the booking page. If the appropriate add-on is not selected, House of Joy reserves the right to add the correct fee based on when your hair is received.
Same-Day Bookings
Same-day appointments may be available subject to availability and require a minimum of 3 hours’ notice. Please contact House of Joy directly to enquire about availability.

Tardiness
A 10-minute grace period is provided.
After 10 minutes, a £10 late fee applies for every additional 10 minutes.
If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled and a new booking and deposit will be required.
Where our schedule permits, we may be able to accommodate you after 20 minutes for an additional £25 inconvenience fee, but this is not guaranteed.
A waiting area is available in reception should you arrive early.
Rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled once free of charge, provided the new appointment falls within the same calendar month.
Any further rescheduling will require a new deposit.
All rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
Cancellations
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the remaining balance.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, including on the day, will incur the full remaining balance.
If your wig has already been customised (including knot bleaching, plucking or other preparation), the applicable customisation fee will also remain payable, as the work has already been completed.
Clients who fail to attend their appointment without notice will be charged the full remaining balance.
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings where outstanding balances remain unpaid.

Wig Requirements
To achieve the best possible result, please ensure the following before your appointment:
Arrive with your natural hair in neat cornrows. More cornrows will create a flatter, sleeker finish.
Reinstall clients: Wigs must arrive clean, glue-free and fully detangled. A £20 lace cleaning fee will apply where glue removal is required. Tangled wigs requiring a revamp or detangling will incur the relevant revamp fee.
Your lace should be lighter than your skin tone, not darker.
Your wig must fit correctly and fully cover your hairline and sideburns. If you require a size adjustment, please let us know before your appointment.
Wigs should be pre-plucked with a natural-looking hairline. Excessively dense hairlines may result in your appointment being declined.

Exception: If staining is limited to the back of the unit, please email clear photos before booking so we can advise whether the appointment can proceed.
If you’re unsure whether your wig is suitable, please email us before booking. We’re always happy to advise and help you avoid losing your deposit.
House of Joy reserves the right to refuse any unit that does not meet our quality standards. These requirements are in place to ensure every client receives the best possible result.

Guests
Please be advised that no plus ones are allowed during your appointment. Anyone accompanying you will be turned away at the door. If necessary, your guest may wait in the reception area while your appointment takes place. Thank you for your understanding.
Hair Drop-Off & Customisation
As London appointments are held at a different location to our main studio, you are not required to drop off your hair beforehand.
Please bring your unit with you to your appointment, where we will provide:
Customisation (bleaching & plucking)
Installation (Cornrows not included)
Simple styling (such as straightening or curl definition)
Same-day customisation is factored into the service price, which is why London appointment prices differ from Manchester appointments.
Location & Parking
Please note that London appointment locations may vary depending on the period we travel for bookings.
Clients are responsible for arranging their own parking when attending appointments. Ensure that you park legally and pay any applicable parking fees. House of Joy is not responsible for parking fines or charges.
Preparation for Your Appointment
Please arrive with your natural hair already braided in cornrows. The more cornrows you have, the flatter and sleeker your final result will be.
For reinstallations not originally installed by House of Joy, you must send an email with clear photos of your unit prior to booking. Do not book this service without receiving confirmation from us that your unit is acceptable.
General Policies
All standard House of Joy policies apply to London bookings, including:
Availability and additional services (such as custom wigs and colouring)
Impromptu bookings (out-of-hours/premium fees)
Tardiness, rescheduling, and cancellations
“What to Buy vs Avoid” hair policy — please ensure the unit you bring meets our requirements. If unsure, email a photo of your unit before booking for confirmation.
Emergency appointment fees and same-day fees do not apply to London bookings, as you will be bringing your unit with you. If we secure a permanent London location in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Important Notice
Please ensure you read all policies carefully. If you arrive with hair or a unit that does not meet our requirements, we will be unable to proceed with your service — however, the remaining balance will still be payable.
